im not sure if its true or not, but i see no reason why they wouldnt do that. itd be pretty awesome. is it true? is there any indications anywhere that they might do that?

A couple of years ago there was a rumor that Sony was working with Sega to bring Sega Dreamcast games to the PS3 via a software emulator program and along with that Sony was thinking about making all PS3's BC by brining out a PS2 emulator but I haven't heard any more about that !

As of right now, it looks as if the PS3 will only play PS 1 games ! That to me is kind of stupid considering the PS2 is much newer than the PS1 but the PS1 chip set is much easier than the PS2 chip set !

well, i heard that it was too expensive to put the backwards compatibility soft/hardware in the ps3 so that's why they dropped it and also with the slims, its in the name, the slims are just to slim to fit that soft/hardware in...

that's why i love my 60gb ps3 <3

i wish they would do it for the slims though and add more usb ports...

anyway, the most important thing is that all ps3s own sh!tboxes
