So I was going to buy final fantasy 13 when some guy told me about it, and I did some research but, I am still not sure. Is it true that when you play final fantasy 13 on a playstation 3, it messes it up ( as in it does not let you play blu-ray discs any more or any other cds)? I ve seen that it starts with the game freezing (ff 13) and then when you turn it on again its messed up. If this is true, does it also happen to the ps3 slim? I mean, I think it is because some people play it for a long time but I am not sure. Please tell me because I really whanted to buy final fantasy.

First guy is right. It won't do anything to the system. It takes up a bit more space than other games but it shouldn't prevent you from doing anything else. The game should work fine and if it does mess up your system than you haven't updated the software. If you keep the software updated then nothing should happen

No it doesn't. What that guy told you sounds completely ludicrous. You won't have any problems playing Final Fantasy 13 on your PS3.

If you bought it for an Xbox 360 though, you'd have multiple discs that come with it because the entire game can't be fit on one Xbox 360 disc. And then you'd have to worry about the Red Rings of Deah which still has an insane failure rate.

Buying it for the PS3 is the best bet.

That is not true. These rumors happen every time an update or new game is released for the PS3. What happens is one or two people have an issue with their PS3 when they play Final Fantasy (or other game) for extended periods of time without allowing their PS3 to cool properly (ie they have it locked in a closed entertainment center).

People immediately blame the game when it has nothing to do with it. A game cannot effect the hardware (except maybe your hard drive if you shut off a game while saving, and even then it only corrupts the save itself).

They are just rumors. Ignore them.
