Ok so i have been told that if you have a Ps3 you can't play ps2 games on it, so we tried it and NO you can't play Ps2 games on Ps3 unless you have a chip.

I was also told that if you collect heaps of trophy's or a certain amount of trophy's, that you will unlock the machine and then will be able to then play Ps2 games on an Un-chipped Play-station-3.

Ok so my question is, is that true, that (You will be able to play Play-station-2 games on a PlayStation-3 after collecting an amount of trophy's??)

If this is true, how many do i have to collect?
