PS3 and Xbox 360 rumor?

i heard from a friend that Xbox 360 and the PS3 will join online together so that a person who has a PS3 will be able to play with someone who has an Xbox 360, or something like that. Is this true? and if so, do u think people will have to pay extra for that?

I don't think it is true because they use two different systems. But, If they do, and you have a PS3 you wont have to pay extra because u don't pay for Internet etc. BUT the 360 would probably be covered in the cost of the yearly Internet you pay...
