i heard there was a ps3 slim coming is that true?

No Untrue, now it was being thought about but it never came to life, The PS2 is acually getting more sales then the PS3 because there is always issues with most of them. PS4 should be out in 2012 so lets hope they do a better job this time.

never heard any rumor in the UK. i don't think japan has had any rumors either.

ps4, in 2012? where did you get that info, because its false.

Sony has NOT officially announced the ps3 slim, so until they do officially it is just a rumor and nothing more. You will have to wait till they announce it which I would imagine if they do it will be at the gamescom convention.
