Can you play any ps3 game on any ps3 system from any region?

I have a PS3 that bought in Asia and I have Madden 10 that I got in the US and it doesn't seem to work so I was trying to see if there was something I had to do to my system or what.

yes but you may not be able to play it online in the us

yes , but only if you have an hdtv connected by an hdmi cable , without that the resolution will be wrong . are you updated to the latest firmware and do you have the ports forwarded to play madden games ? there are problems with madden 10 apparently , so maybe it's just the game .
