It's a 52 in RCA rear projection HD ready tv. How can i hook it up to my PS3 so it has good resolution

HD ready does not mean HD.
Do you have an HDMI input on the tv? How about component?
If you have HDMI, that's you're best way to hook up the PS3. If not, you need a component cable for your PS3. I'm actually selling one on ebay. Let me know if you are interested.
