Condemned 2 PS3 Black borders within gameplay?

Hi I bought Condemned 2 and have noticed big black borders in every part of the game (and not just the cut scenes).

Is this an issue for someone not using 720 or 1080 resolution?
I am using a normal widescreen tv at 16:9 ratio, a RGB scart for better quality and don't have this problem with any other game.

Any ideas people?
