Default Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim zoomed in on ps3, how to fix it?

hey, i own Skyrim for my ps3 and when i started to play it for the first time, it was zoomed in. you couldnt see everything on screen. in first person view you could only see half the sword. and half my hand when i had the fireball spell on. and the HUD up the top og your screen which shows nearby locations and stuff, the top half of that is cut off. anyone know how to zoom out on skyrim? on the ps3? is there like a setting i have to go to? i have a widescreen, HD plasma tv, about a year old and iits on 16.9 so it should fit everything in the screen. like i said before all my other games work fine. someone please tell me why skyrim is zoomed in (oblivion isnt zoomed in which is elder scrolls 4.) the zoom in is really annoying, can someone please tell me how to fix it.

This is a known problem with several blu-ray (PS3) versions of Skyrim. In the factory, an extra layer of protective plastic was applied to some of the discs causing the disc image to be distorted.

Take the disc out and get some ajax, this will remove the plastic film coating the disc.

After purchasing ajax, pour it on the disk and scrub vigorously with a damp sponge. This will create several *light* scratches on the disc. This is to be expected. These surface scratches will not damage the disc at all.

What it will do is remove the coating allowing you to play the game as normal.
