Default why do i receive a different DNS error when i reboot my PS3 each time?

when i get a DNS error I reboot the playstation, then try to connect and receive a different DNS error. the internet is working fine, I use the wireless router while trying to connect to PS3. any ideas. i have original PS3 60 gb. could i solve my issue by buying a better router or a new version of ps3.

The PS3 network settings may be incorrect, and buying a new router or PS3 won't change that. Instead of Easy use Custom with default settings and make sure IP Address is set to Automatic and see what happens then.

Settings > Network Settings > Internet Connection Settings > Easy or Custom

If Custom doesn't work for the wireless connection, then you may need to use a wired connection instead if possible. Another possibility is that you may have to reconfigure your router to port forward / open the PS3 ports.

TCP: 80, 443, 5223
UDP: 3478, 3479, 3658
