I got error E66 on my Xbox 360... should i just buy a new one?

My dad had a friend mod it one day without me knowing it. I now got E66 and i have no tools to reflash the firmware it myself. I NEVER PLAYED MODDED GAMES ONLINE IN THE FIRST PLACE SO IF I SOMEHOW FLASH THE XBOX BACK TO ORIGINAL FIRMWARE, IT WONT PLAY BURNT GAMES

Try selling it at gamestop first usually they cant tell if its modded
