How should I feel about buying refurbished Sony PS2?

I'm thinking about purchasing some refurbished PS2s that were directly refurbished from Sony. (Official white Sony box) How should I feel about official refurbished ps2s? Should they be considered new? Would it be worth it? Should I buy some?
