XBOX 360 backwards compatibility problem (PLEASE ANSWER)?

I want to play my Doom 3 game on my new XBOX 360, but it keep saying an update is needed for it to be played. I do not know where to get this update, even when I am update my system with the latest it still asks for an update so what can I do?
