Xbox 360 Wired Controller Joystick Rubber Rubbing Off Replacement?

The wired controller I use, the rubber on the joystick has rubbed off completely on 1 and the other about half way, now I'm stuck with a 32 pounds controller with a joystick digging in my finger with its quite sharp edge.

Any way I can replace it with a household item or any idea to make it more comfortable?
