1. Sounds like somehow your Wii is causing interference between your router and your Laptop. I'd try contacting either the manufacturer of your router or Nintendo to see what you can do (depending on who made your router, calling Nintendo would be a better option). The number for Nintendo is 1-800-255-3700 and you can also try to see if there are any troubleshooting tips on your your routers website.
2. If you restore your Wii it will delete your virtual console games and wiiwre games. However, since it does not erase your Wii Shop account you can just go into the Wii shop channel and redownload your games for Free.
