Xbox 360 controller for Alien Arena?

I wanna know how to use the Xbox 360 MadCatz controller for an online game called Alien Arena, i tried but i can't do it, can you help me?

@Pera Lazic - I have a Xbox 360, why would i buy only a Xbox 360 Controller if i wouldn't buy a Xbox 360?

If you want to have a good joystick experience,buy a xbox 360,not just a joystick
