I have had a Wii since it came out and the other day I turned it on and put a disc in and my Wii was really loud (louder than a Xbox 360) I tried several discs and they were all making my Wii sound loud..... I have now sold my Wii for a PS3 but I'm thinking of buying the Wii again, has the problem been fixed in the newer models?

It's a loud crashing sort of noise.

It's not that loud. It's a little noisy, but it shouldn't bug you THAT much. If it does, don't get a wii or just wear ear plugs when playing it (I'm being sarcastic). But really, get a Wii. It's not that noisy and it's a great console. Don't seriously let the noise stop you from getting an awesome console.
