ok im getting an arcade xbox 360 next week and i wanted to know if they are still coming out defective like with the 3 rings of death or did microsoft fixed that problem.if not how much do they last before they don't work anymore until it is repaired...does they xbox 360 elite come out with the same problems to or no?

I have an Elite, but my understanding is that the whole "Red Ring of Death" thing hasn't happened much in a while. I think it was some kind of problem in the first generation of them, but that was years ago. I got mine a few years after that, which was about two years ago, and it's fine. If you treat it well it should last many many years. Also, if the red ring does happen, there are ways of fixing it.
