Default Xbox 360 RROD Fixed it with a fan?

I'd been having nothing but problems with it for a while now. I've had the e71, e74, and e79 errors, and also 2, 3, and 4 red lights flashing. I took it apart yesterday afternoon. I took the outer casing, and the side panels off to see if i could see any burnt out parts, or problems. I Could'nt see anything wrong. I turned it on and got the rrod again. Just out of curiosity, i went and grabbed my fan out of the other room, and put it next to the xbox, and turned it on medium, then turned on the xbox, and surprisingly it loaded up no problem. Then i put in a game, and it loaded up fine, and played a game of madden with no problems. I've since been playing alot of gta4 and other games, and the only problem i've had is 3 freezes. 1 when it was loading the xbox logo, and 2 others when i was playing civ rev. I just got done playing gta4 for 4 hours with no problems. I am very surprised by this. Is the fan making the rrod go away, or did it suddenly just want to start working? Anyways, just wanted to know if anyone else has solved their rrod problem with blowing air on it with a fan? Well for now i am very happy, i haven't been able to play any games for a while.
