All you need is a 2.5-inch SATA notebook harddisk to install on your ps3 and it won't void the warranty because sony lets you change the drive. if you need more info just go to this site http://asia.cnet.com/digitalliving/tips/0,3800004921,62032875,00.htm

No you can not, and if you try you will both break the PS3 and void the warranty.
