Default Xbox gamers. what do you think about the placement of the analogue sticks on

the controller vs ps3 controller? I am buying a nyko raven and im trying to figure out which one to get? do you like the location of the analogue stick where the d pad and analogue stick are switched or do you like it like the ps3 controller side by side?
By xbox i meant Xbox 360.

and all otehr details aside. i really am just focusing on the analogue stick placement so which one feels more natural?

Along with most other people, i prefer the xbox 360, it is the first game console i got for a good reason, the ps3 controller is much too light, especially without a cord weighing it down like the ps2 had. The Xbox 360's analog sticks might feel weird if you are used to a smaller controller but once you get used to it you'll notice your fingers rest naturally in that position as opposed to the ps3 where your hands are scrunched together, Plus it's analog sticks are much more responsive and its worth the money much more because it doesn't break as easily. Me and my friend both purchased different game consoles at roughly the same time, My original controller that came with my Xbox is still working fine while his ps3 controller"s" both have a bit of drift, such as when its idle the character will move forwards. And lastly if you're playing with the ps3 controller, likes are there wont be any rumble, This could be annoying or helpful but its really up to you because no matter what you can shut it off even with an xbox controller. But overall i think you should go with the Xbox controller, its more durable and is made of higher grade materials. And remember this, you can always buy a different brand than sony for a ps3 controller, Gamestop and some other places make heavier more spread out versions.

Overall, the Xbox controller is much better than the PS3, although to be honest I feel that for soccer games such as FIFA 10 (which use the Analogue stick a lot) I find the Xbox sticks somewhat tiring and difficult to control, possibly due to the concave design of the stick (not because the d-pad is switched). I always end up with a sore thumb after playing soccer games, but on the PS controller I ended up with a sore palm so really it's not much different. Hope this helps

I like xbox better but if they switch the buttons(a,b,x,y) with the right analogue stick, then it be awesome. and have the d pad more like the ps3 be even better. also I like to click the analog sticks. also xbox has a more bigger dead zone than the ps3 which is why it last a bit longer. On the ps3 it feels like I'm in a thumb war with myself.

I think convex is a little better than concave, so ps3 beats it there.

so over all xbox feels more natural cause the analogues are more spread apart even though ps3 has them aligned.

The Xbox had a rather large controller that I didn't like. The Xbox 360 is a bit smaller and just fits my hand like a glove. The analog placement could be different, but the overall shape is what I love. I grew up on a PS1 and it was fine until I tried the 360. The shape of the PS controller is my whole issue, the analog placement couldnt bother me.
