okay so heres my problem: Ive tried everything to get this to work. ive tried hooking up the ps3 with an SCRAT to Componet cable straight to the dvd player and then an composite cable to my DVD recorder through to my TV. That did not work.....So after many other trys with splitters, couplers, differnt cables etc. weve come to the conclusion its the DVD recorder. Our dvd recorder is set up with an composite (RWY) output, a composite (RWY) input, and a componet (RGB) output. We think we need a DVD recorder that had an HDMI spot in the back to plug an HDMI cord into, and a Componet (RGB) output spot for us to plug in a double sided Componet (RGB) cord into the back of the DVD recorder and through to the back of the TV.

So heres the final setup: HDMI cord in the back of the ps3 and the back of the DVD recorder, then a double sided componet cord (RGB) going from the back of the DVD recorder and TV. WOULD THIS ALLOW US TO RECORD IN HD!!!!!????
