I know you need a SATA but, I dont know about the SATA2. I know that the thumb drive is good for the PS3. Everything all the other specification on that hard drive are right I just don't know about the SATA2 too much.

It has to be a certian size for it to fit in a ps3 it looks to big. ill tell you what go on youtube and look up something like upgraded ps3 hdd or hard drive and find the user send them a message and ask where they bought theirs and send them links and ask if they will work they will have answers.
