Default Possable to switch the ps3 hard drives?

I was going to get the slim ps3 but it doesnt play ps2 or ps1 games i guess sony wants you to buy them at the network. plus the slim doesnt have the chip slots to put pictures in it..

so i was going to buy the old ps3 80gb that can play ps2,ps1 games and that has slots, but it it possable to change the hard drive to like a 180gb?

if yes where can i buy a hard drive?
thanks in advance

Yes you can change it. I think they take laptop hard drives, but that's just what I vaguely remember hearing, so you'll want to double-check that, and if it's true it might be only for the slims. I also remember hearing that you can upgrade up to 500gb, but once again, that may just be for the slims. Also, you got a couple things wrong. The slim does play ps1 games, but not ps2. No, there isn't an sd slot, but there are usb slots, so if you have a usb drive you can load pictures, music, and videos that way.
