my ps3 hard drive is full but i have barely anything on it just 4 demos 3 are just over a gig each and the other 1 is less than a gig i have 2 albums saved onto it as well but they don't take up much space its an 80g ps3 and ever since i have got it i have noticed that my memory was always low what could be wrong and how can i save all my stuff onto an external hard drive, format the ps3 and put it all back on without losing anything like game saves?

There may be something wrong with your hard drive.Check or call a mechanic or hotline to see what may be wrong with it because then your precious saved items may get lost!

i have a 40 gb ps3 and have less than 1 gb left. i would add up how many gigs you have in game saves. i deleted all my music off of mine and i also deleted my music.

Get a bigger hard-drive. To back up game saves use a USB stick, gb depending on how much your saves take up.
