What's wrong with my PS3 controller?

Yesterday I was playing wirelessly with my 120gb PS3 that I just got a couple of months ago and today when I tried to wirelessly it wouldn't sync up to the PS3 it would just blink red in all four slots. When I plugged the usb cord in it started working fine.

P.S. if you need to know anything else just say the word.
