Is the controller port the same from the PS2 to the PS3?

I have a Logitech Driving Force EX for sale. The product came out for PS2 however I'd like to know if the controller port on the PS2 is the same as the controller port on the PS3. Otherwise it can but connected with USB as well. Does the PS3 have that also?
