Hi, Mad Catz PS3 Modern Warfare 2 Controller?

Hello there, i am wanting to know that the new Mad Catz PS3 Modern Warfare 3 controller is available in the same day that MW2 comes out. But what wanted to know is that can this controller with other games on the ps3, or does it just work for MW2, please let me know as soon as you have an answer, thank you!
