Is it a good idea to change my PS3 hard disk drive...?

Well, I know it IS a good idea, but I want to know WHEN I should change it:
-Before setting up the PS3 for the first time
OR
-After I've set up my PS3

I would think the first one because you wouldn't have to back up your data, but I'm unsure.

Yes,change your hard drive before you set up your ps3.

Yes it's a very good idea and I would do it before I set up my PS3 ! There's some very good 500GB 2.5" hdd ! I recommend samsung's spinpoint m6 500GB hdd for replacing your hdd !
