Do all PS3 Model Controllers Work with all PS3s?

I bought a PS3 80GB MGS4 Bundle and it came with a controller that had this model # : CECHZC2U. I was wondering if different model # controllers would work on my PS3. Like CECHZC1U or some others.

P.S. I have the old and rare PS3 that has backwards compatibility.

Yes, so do all USB pc controllers.

yeh every controller will work with every ps3
just when u switch to a new ps3 u need to connect the controller to the ps3 using a usb cable so they sync with each other
