Which hard drives are compatible with the Playstation 3?

I know that it has to be a SATA, but on websites the SATA laptop drives have a CD slot. Is this the right one? Also, what brands are the best?

a 2.5 SATA HDD is the only one that will work. Seagate is the best option, because all PS3's come with a Seagate Momentys HDD built in. Here is the HDD I installed into my PS3. I recommend it highly because it's the biggest and fastest HDD for the PS3 out there.
