my ps3 is usually connected to a hd tv via hdmi cable, but when i tried to connect to a non hd tv (witht the cord that came with the ps3) nothing shows. it is just a black screen.

that's because your ps3 is set to HDMI.

all you have to do is hold down the power button for about 10 seconds. Once you here a beep, you know the ps3 has reset to it's default settings. enjoy

u have to reset it,so hold the button for 10 secs and then u will hear a beep and then wait for it to show up
