Once you have confirmed that you have your HDTV's source set on HDMI, make sure you have the resolution setting on your Blu-Ray and HDTV at the highest level (i.e. 1800i or 1080p) that your TV can process. You might also refer to your owner's manuals for details.

Happy viewing!

I bought a HD TV and have HDMI connections as well. Out of the box it wasn't quite as good as I hoped either. What I did was I changed the sharpness so that it is just sharp enough to not look pixelly! Now all of my Blu-ray disks and HD TV broadcasts look wonderful. Check with your TV manual for the focus or sharpness control, or have a pro do it. They sell disks that cover adjustments to your HD TV too!

Ive heard the PS3 bluray isnt as crisp as a dedicated blu ray players. Also, the TVs in the stores have their settings all jacked up so the colors POP. Thats ususally not good for the TV.

If cost isnt a concern, try a dedicated blu ray player. If you dont want to do that, get the TV ISF calibrated. (Not bestbuy / circuit city calibrated) Costs a lot though. Otherwise, begin the journey of adjusting your TV video settings. I would search the net before doing so though for guidance. All tvs are different.

well, it could be your tv, but you might have the A/V cables plugged in at the sae time as your HDMI, in which case unplug the AV and change the source to HDMI 2 or which ever you put it into
