ok i read that my tv was hdtv and it can produce hd of 480p and 1080i: (http://www.amazon.com/Philips-27PT8302-37-Real-HDTV-Ready/dp/B0002F882K)
i connected it to my ps3 via component cables, and i saw the graphicswere better than when i used composite cables, but its only at 480iand when i go to change the resolution on my ps3>display settings
i go to component and there is 4 options to choose from 480p, 720p,1080i, 1080p, i tried all of them and for all of them i got a weirdwavy screen with bars, black and white, like it couldnt display theresolution, as if it was too high...but i read somewhere it does 480pand 1080i...

what may be the problem here??...please help and thanks...

you need HDMI CABLES AND A HDTV DUDE !
