Is it possible for me to plug in a PS2 controller in my PS2 and use it to play my PS3 games. I am asking because £40 for a Dual-shock 3 is a ripoff when I can get a game for the same amount of money and the PS2 controllers are loads cheaper.
Also, why havn't the normal SIXAXIS controllers come down in price since Dual-shock 3 has been released? Thanks! |

You can plug a PS2 controller into the PS3, but you need to buy a PS2 controller adapter. Also, PS2 controllers will not work on PS3 games. The PS2 controllers only work on PS2 and PS1 games. The PS2 controller does not have SIXAXIS.
The SIXAXIS controller has been discontinued. Sony is only making the DualShock 3. DualShock 3 controller is $5 more than the SIXAXIS. So for $5 extra, you get that much-loved rumble feature. But then again, SIXAXIS is discontinued. |
