Default keeping ps3 data while upgrading to a new hard drive?

i just purchased a new hard drive for my 20gb ps3 and i wanted to know if it can create a back up on a 80 gb ipod video so i can keep all of my game saves


the hard drive i bought is a 320 gb

Plug the iPod into one of the USB slots. When it comes up, go to the save file(s) you want to copy, press Triangle and you should see the option to copy it. Then select your iPod and the save file will copy.
Once you've installed your new hard drive, plug the iPod back in, and under the Save File folder, you should be able to select your iPod and copy the save files back to the PS3
