Default How do I fix my PS3 controller?

One I decided I should clean my PS3 controller so I desembled my controller clean of some of the stuff on the side with a wet q-tip then I dryed it out then resembled my controller again everything was ok for 2 days but when I was playing call of duty and I pressed the L1 button to aim but instead my guy jumped up then started shooting and gave away my position so could someone tell me how I could fix this problem? or if it is fixable? because I really dont want to buy a new controller to replace this one

Try to open it up again. see if any wires are touching the important parts of the board. like see if your L1 button's wiring any touching any part of the X button and vice-versa.

That too bad that this happened to you now because yesterday (from the time of this post) gamestop had a DS3 for 20 bucks.
