Does the Buffalo Ministation 500GB USB 2.0 Portable Hard Disk Drive work on PS3?

As in does it just plug in and save, easy as that?

And by that I mean, can you plug it into your PS3 and make a save one it, easy as that. Also, I am IN NO WAY tech savvy and I have no idea what "As long as it's a laptop HDD means. Please explain
