Default PS3 USB headsets Question?

I just got a Motorola EA USB headset X205 for my PS3 and was told it would work with the PS3 since it was a USB set. I hooked it up and it is not working. I went into the settings and it is not even being recognized by the system. I wanted to find out what USB headsets are DEFINITLY PS3 compatible?

Ok...I tried doing Settings > Accessory Settings and then the only options is Do Not Use. I actually had the set working on Friday and then when I had to update the PS3 software it stopped working. I called Sony and they told me that they could not help me. I have a bluetooth and the quality sucks on the PS3s bluetooth reception. I want to find a wired headset that I know fotr sure works with the PS3 and will not get messed up with another update.

They are compatible. You have to go to Settings > Accessory Settings > from there you scroll down until it says something similar to what you have. If it doesn't, then your better off to buy an actual bluetooth headset (any one will do, but know that you get what you pay for, so if its cheap it will be low quality). Go to Manage Bluetooth Devices and click start scanning. It might detect it then even though its for bluetooth, it may or may not pick up your USB headset. Though it should list it somewhere in Accessory Settings.

I have a keyboard and wireless mouse plugged into my PS3 and it tells me what kind it is. It will also tell you the kind of USB flash drive you have if you plug it into the system. Its very smart. Try doing that and it shoud work. Go into voice changer to test if you can hear yourself or not.

Hope that helps.
