My ps3 controller does whatever it wants, fix or get new one?

My mom had friends over one night and they had little kids with them. And of course they saw my pps3 and grabbed the controller. Then they DROPPED it! Later that night I decided to play Skyrim and the controller started to do what ever it wanted to, and by that I mean selct stuff, randomly attacks jumps ect. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Try cleaning it sometimes that happens, but you might have to buy a new one.
