PS3 Controller - FIFA 12 - When I shoot, it passes. When I pass, it shoots?

There is nothing wrong when I used the PS3 controller on other games but when I switched it to FIFA 12, and during the game, as I attempted a shot, it passed like all of a sudden. When I passed, it does a clearance. I'm not sure if it's the game controller settings, but does anybody have this kind of problem?

If it's the settings, do explain which part of it and let me know? Thanks.
Nonono, what I mean is it happens sometimes when I try to shoot, then it clears and vice versa. All other times, it's normal as usual. Passes and shots here and there, but sometimes, all of a sudden you get that. Makes you like WTF.

Could it be a bug?

was it x or o when u try to shoot, dude have u try the option , then control ? its the button mapping lol
