PlayStation 3 ps3 slim internal hard drive compatibility?

I have a question, does the hard drive have to be NSAC or SATA? does it matter? I have no idea. I just recently bought a ps3 slim with 120GB and thinking of upgrading to 320GB with SATA, would it work?

Also does ps3 slim compatible with 2.5" ?
