No, look at the price of the ps3 and price of the games, and also the type of game available for it. Its totally different to what the wii was going for.

The motion controller was only one of the things which made the wii a success. Also PS3 graphics look very dated compared to what is available on the PC with DX10 and DX11. I think sony will have to follow Nintendo along the affordability route for their next console.
